    Deprecation of SQLServer Flex-API V2 and SQLServer Flex-API v3alpha1 and SQLServer Flex-API v3alpha2

    SQLServer Flex-API V2 and SQLServer Flex-API v3alpha1 and SQLServer Flex-API v3alpha2 is being deprecated and will be removed after 1 Juli 2027. If you are still using one of the mentioned APIs we advise you to migrate to SQLServer Flex-API V3. SQLServer Flex-API V3 includes small changes and fixes to enhance the usability of the API and will enable you to create SQLServer resources in all available STACKIT regions.

    It is a stable release and offers the same or similar endpoints and functionality as the mentioned APIs before. For more information visit the API documentation of SQL Server Flex.

    We are excited to introduce new features in SQLServer Flex:

    • Single Instances with SQL Server 2022: Deploy the latest SQL Server version.
    • HA Instances with Contained Availability Groups: Increase resilience with High Availability. (See Microsoft documentation for details and limitations.)
    • Predefined Roles: Create users with restricted permissions to enforce least-privilege access.
    • Maintenance Plans: Use SQL Server Agent to schedule regular maintenance tasks.
    • Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR): Restore your databases to a specific point in time in addition to backups.
    • Transactional Replication: Replicate your databases into the STACKIT environment for added security.
